What better opportunity to reroot and know our purpose than Easter? It’s a time where we can revisit the message of who saves us, and channel this message to the children. We did this through a short skit with Ms. Cindy and Coach Octa acting as Jesus carrying the cross. Ms. Cindy did an object lesson with washable markers and bleach to help the children understand how Jesus washed away our sins. The children’s eyes lit up as they saw the stains were washed away. Although the concept of salvation seems too out of reach to explain to the younger ones, a simple object lesson like this simplified it and made the crucial parts simple enough to understand. We hope the children can remember this moment through their journey of faith, strengthening their understanding of how much Jesus loves us.
