In these gentle interactions, we are reminded that learning begins with connection, and that belonging is at the heart of every school day.
This semester also brings new friends into the ISMILE Bandung family. With each new child comes a new personality, new expressions, and new stories waiting to be written. Transitions are met with patience, warmth, and guiding hands, as teachers and classmates alike help our newest learners feel safe and included. It is beautiful to see how a classroom grows — not only in number, but in heart — as children learn to share space, notice one another, and begin forming the first threads of friendship.
