Ms. Yunita

Good afternoon everyone. My name is Yunita, mom of Emma from K2B. To avoid duplication, my testimony is mostly based on Emma’s and my experience as ISMILE parent. My dear partner here, Christine, will later speak more on behalf of us k2b parents.

First and foremost, I would like to praise God for this beautiful day, the day we see our babies who are not so little anymore, graduate from kindergarten.

We are so grateful to all the teachers and ISMILE staff who have welcomed the kids so warmly since day one and given them another place to call home. Their second home. We have witnessed how Emma almost instantly feels comfortable and safe to go to school. I drop her to school everyday, she walks straight in, most of the time forgets to even say “bye mommy”. Some might take a bit longer to adjust, but eventually all of them fit right in and formed wonderful bond with their teachers, friends, and school.

We are glad to be able to find a perfect kindergarten for our kids, that help to develop them into whole-rounded personalities that are not just strong in academic, but also teach them to be social, fun, empathetic, kind, God loving individuals. It gives us confidence to send the kids to their next adventure and lay a strong foundation for their success in primary school and beyond.

We are also grateful to be part of ISMILE community, with competent teachers and staff led by Ms Halim, as well as supportive mommies, many have become good friends. We listen to each other and count on each other. I know Emma will leave ISMILE with heavy heart, and so a lot of her friends. They love each other and adore their teachers. When I asked Emma what her favourite things are about ISMILE. Her first answer was doing worksheet. And I thought what kind of an answer is that from a 5yo. But then I realized its her way of saying that learning in ISMILE is fun and enjoyable. She also mentioned the playground, the gym, and the riceballs amongst her favourite things. I have a feeling that most of her friends share the same view.

We will miss our ISMILE family dearly and we wish everyone great success for the future and wonderful life. To see the kids in their graduation robe today, all excited and happy, my heart is full. Thank you Lord. Thank you ISMILE. We love you!

Nafas To Install Clean Air Zones in 7 iSmile Pre-School Campuses in Indonesia

As pollution in Jakarta and many other Indonesian cities continues to get worse, Nafas has been appointed as the air quality partner for iSmile Family of Schools in Indonesia and is tasked with bringing healthy air quality to 7 campuses in Permata Hijau, Menteng, Kelapa Gading, Pantai Indah Kapuk, P. Antasari (for Alam Atelier & BazGym) and Bandung. As part of the partnership, Nafas will be providing healthy air quality management, analytics & reporting as well as leading educational programs for parents across iSmile, iShine, Alam Atelier and BazGym  to continue to raise awareness about air pollution and public health.

Over 800 students attend iSmile Family of Schools, one of the top pre-schools in Jakarta, Bandung and Bali. The dedication of iSmile administration to providing the optimal learning environment for its students extends to ensuring that healthy indoor air quality levels are always maintained.

For their schools that already have a Clean Air Zone, Nafas successfully reduced indoor air pollution by over 80% in classrooms at the Kelapa Gading campus in April 2024.  Unhealthy indoor air quality in schools provides a sub-optimal learning environment for children and long term exposure to PM2.5 reduces concentration, focus and can impair cognitive development. Nafas even published an article about this – The Smog Effect: How Air Quality Could Be Affecting Test Scores.

Clean Air Zones by Nafas are a subscription based B2B service which provides companies with air quality diagnostics, healthy air management, data analytics and real-time reporting of indoor pollution levels. The end to end service is the first of its kind in Indonesia, and already serves over 100 clients in offices, schools, small businesses and residential locations.
